Charley Durham - Senior Copywriter and Editorial Projects Managerread more

1. What is your role at Acceleris?
I’m the agency’s Senior Copywriter and Editorial Projects Manager, writing for and managing a wide range of projects such as websites, newsletters and brochures, press releases, features and leaflets. I work closely with clients, fellow writers, designers and web developers to take a project from concept to completion. I am also involved in social media campaigns and manage Acceleris’ tailored newsfeed writing service, NewsRoom. Each day is varied and I love the buzz that’s always present in the office – the Acceleris team are all very talented and dedicated and a day never passes without a giggle or two!
2. Name five clients you have enjoyed working on
The National Federation of ALMOs, South Essex Homes, Kier, the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society and the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society.
3. Why do you love what you do?
I’ve always wanted to be a writer and love the fact that I’ve managed to turn that aim into a highly enjoyable career. There is something very rewarding about filling either a blank page or blank screen with text and shaping and moulding it to do your bidding! I also write short stories and novels in my spare time, which I hope to one day get published!
4. Your ‘Hero’ hour? (this is a project or job in which you did something fantastic)
As Senior Copywriter at Acceleris I’m often working on lots of projects at once. Seeing them come together, especially when I receive the first visuals from our skilled designers, is always fantastic. After staring at Word documents for weeks on end it is such a treat to see the project take shape visually. It never gets boring!
5. Projects I am currently working on?
A quarterly newsletter for residents of properties managed by South Essex Homes, features activity for the Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society, and supporting the rest of the team with press office duties. I'm also helping to develop something new and exciting for Acceleris - watch this space.

Alessandra Gritt - Digital Account Executiveread more

1.What is your role at Acceleris?
Digital Account Executive, working on implementing digital and traditional PR and social media campaigns for a range of clients.
2.Name five clients you’ve enjoyed working on
All of the client accounts that I’ve worked on have been interesting and exciting, but some I’ve particularly enjoyed recently have been South Essex Homes, BBC Worldwide and NYnet.
3.Why do you love what you do?
Who wouldn’t love it?! I feel very lucky as I’ve always wanted to work in PR and it’s so enjoyable - no two days are exactly the same and we never stop learning. The mix of creative and inspired thinking, hard work, and planning is right up my street and the friendly and busy environment at Acceleris is brilliant.
4.What was your Hero Hour? (this is a project or job in which you did something fantastic)
I hope I've had quite a few! Some of my favourite examples include handing out our Acceleris-branded fruit outside the Harrogate Chartered Institute of Housing Conference to spread the word about the great work we do in social housing, securing some great examples of broadcast and print coverage for The Candlelighters Trust, being part of the team launching Kirstie and Phil’s House Hunter App for BBC Worldwide and spotting those perfect hooks to gain client exposure in the fast-paced world of Twitter and Facebook.
5.Projects you’re currently working on.
I’m currently really enjoying working on South Essex Homes' social media campaign, driving to increase tenant and resident interaction using social media.

1. What is your role @ Acceleris?
Senior Account Executive
2. Name five clients you have enjoyed working on
The Shipwrecked Mariners' Society, motors.co.uk, The Fuelcard Company, and St Georges Community Housing
3. Why do you love what you do?
I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients and love the fact that every day is different. One minute I’ll be selling in a story about a new community playground for one of our ALMO clients and the next I’ll be writing about Santa’s perfect car for a fun motors.co.uk motoring feature!
4. Your ‘Hero’ hour? (this is a project or job in which you did something fantastic)
My most hectic – and enjoyable – day so far at Acceleris was managing the media at last year's Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society’s annual Skill and Gallantry Awards which honour the UK’s most heroic mariners. The awards attracted a huge amount of press interest on the day and we were inundated with requests for radio interviews with the award winners and Society’s chief exec, which I had to juggle between various meet and greets. Suffice to say, my three-inch heels were ditched as soon as the event was over and I have resolved to wear flat running shoes to this year’s ceremony! But the pain was worth it as the day was a huge success and we generated over 40 pieces of coverage which raised awareness of a very worthy charity.
5. Projects I am currently working on?
I’m currently working on the day-to-day running of PR accounts which includes setting up feature opportunities with national, trade and consumer publications, writing stories and dealing with media enquiries.

Tara Wright - Senior Account Manager read more

1. What is your role at Acceleris?
Senior Account Manager
2. Name five clients you have enjoyed working on
Just five?! That’s tough, because I have enjoyed brand managing accounts like B&Q, P&G, and Vauxhall Motors. Recently I’m enjoying working on The Fuelcard Company, Aire Valley Homes and ComtechM2M. In my opinion, you can’t beat the feeling following a successfully managed crisis and I’ve been lucky enough to have experience this on a diverse range of renowned brands. But it’s not just about the blue-chip accounts; it’s extremely satisfying to deliver tangible results from restricted budgets.
3. Why do you love what you do?
Every single day is different. It doesn’t matter whether you’re launching something internationally or raising the profile of a relative unknown regionally, the end result of a happy client ultimately validates a job well done! The challenges that arise with every campaign mean you have to adapt accordingly and I like that. It’s good to keep things moving.
4. Your ‘Hero’ hour? (this is a project or job in which you did something fantastic)
I always aim for the fantastic! One example that quickly springs to mind would have to be working for a digital marketing client. Initially I was briefed to work alongside an external agency, however within weeks of the brief, I managed to achieve board level co-operation and the client decided to work with me exclusively, and assigned further budget to manage all its internal and external marketing communications. Not only did it provide me with valuable experience, but I was completely out of my comfort zone and discovered that I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge!
5. Projects you’re currently working on?
Busy, busy, busy with a launch of a leading designer/ manufacturer /installer of sensory equipments into the USA, a regional community awards programme for a social housing client as well as all the activity that comes with retained client accounts.
