acceleris marketing communications promotes new Motors.co.uk brand icon in regional roadshow with the help of F1’s Lewis Hamilton
acceleris client, leading motoring website Motors.co.uk, has launched its new brand icon, a 10ft Big Blue Wheel in a ‘W’ Factor roadshow to find faces to front its regional advertising campaigns.
acceleris has co-ordinated the series of events, photography and media in each region and even secured the UK’s leading Lewis Hamilton look-a-like to draw in the crowds!
The ‘W factor’ has been created to give ‘real’ people the chance to strut their stuff in front of the camera and the Motors.co.uk 10ft high Big Blue Wheel (BBW) to become a star in their own region with the chance to represent the site as the face of its national campaign.
Each winner will then participate in a professional photo shoot which will develop the creative photography for the adverts.
The roadshow which began in Hull and Exeter in September will roll out across the country with events taking place in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Birmingham during October.
The new advertising campaign has been created in response to a national survey of 1,033 car buyers which found that 63 per cent of car buyers fear being ripped off when purchasing a car. Despite which an estimated 4.9 million motorists research their next car online.
The major new advertisement campaign has been launched to reassure car buyers and to highlight the security features of Motors.co.uk which include free history checks that ensure the car has not been written off or stolen, scrapped, imported or exported - providing car buyers with a real peace of mind when searching for their next motor.
Louise Vaughan, Director of PR at acceleris, says;
"The new Big Blue Wheel brand creative underlines the Motors.co.uk guiding principle of ‘You Take The Wheel’ giving the car buyer reassurance with the information and advice they need to get a great deal. It further underpins the important security features such as free history checks that the site provides."
