HAT TRICK OF SUCCESS
August 08
League table success, industry awards and multi-million pound fee income
acceleris has enjoyed a hat trick of successes in a single week after it was short listed in one of the PR industries biggest award programmes and listed as one of the region’s most successful agencies, whilst also reaching £2 million of fee revenue since its launch just 18 months ago.
acceleris has shaken up Yorkshire’s traditional Top Ten league table of PR agencies, based solely on fee income generated during its first year of operation. In one of Yorkshire’s most influential listings, acceleris was ranked as the seventh biggest agency in the region.
The table used figures from the acceleris PR division without including the additional fees generated by the company’s digital, media and other marketing activities, which this month passed the £2 million income mark.
For the second year running the agency has also been short listed as a finalist in one of the communications industry’s most prestigious awards – the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Pride Awards 2008.
acceleris’ integrated communications campaign for Daily Mai Group-owned Motors.co.uk – one of the UK’s biggest used car websites– is a finalist in the ‘Consumer Relations’ category; while its work for the National Federation of ALMOs – the body whose members are responsible for over half of all social housing in the UK – is nominated in the ‘Public Sector’ category.
acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport says: “There are some excellent agencies producing first-class work within the region so it is very pleasing to have ranked so highly after our first year of operation. This result is primarily down to two things: the hard work, determination and commitment of our talented team right across the agency; and the belief and support of our growing list of clients without whom such success would not be possible. I am delighted to say that, half way through 2008, we are continuing our track record of financial growth and development, adding new clients, new staff and new services by the month.”
