New appointments mark continuing expansion
acceleris marketing communications has made new strategic appointments to support its continued growth and expansion.
Peter Davenport has been appointed to the position of Managing Director, an expanded role focused on new business and service integration.
Louise Vaughan has been promoted to Board Director, with overall responsibility for the company’s expanding 10-strong PR division.
Louise will work alongside fellow Director Donna Mullin, who heads up the agency’s digital marketing and media planning and buying operation.
Peter Davenport is one of the most experienced media and PR specialists in the country. A senior national journalist for 25 years, first on The Daily Mail and then as Defence Correspondent on The Times, he has built and sold several agencies since moving into public relations and devised national and international campaigns for clients across the public and private sectors.
Louise Vaughan has over ten years public relations experience, in both agency and in-house roles. She has led public relations and corporate communications for a wide range of public and private sector businesses including the motoring brands of The Royal Bank of Scotland; the Environment Agency; and Addleshaw Booth & Co’s sponsorship of the Manchester Commonwealth Games.
Louise led two of the Acceleris campaigns recognised by the 2007 CIPR Pride Awards – one of which, for motors.co.uk, was cited by motoring celebrity Quentin Willson as “one of the smartest, sassiest pieces of consumer marketing and PR that I've ever been involved in”.
Peter Davenport said: “Although we have already become of the fastest growing PR and digital marketing agencies in the region, we must never become complacent. We live in a truly multimedia age and 21st Century marketing services must reflect that. As an agency we have invested heavily in people and facilities to ensure we are able deliver campaigns that fulfill our client’s objectives across the whole integrated marketing spectrum. It’s a proposition which is proving increasingly attractive to clients.”
Louise Vaughan added: “We are very much a national agency with an increasingly international edge to our client portfolio. In the last few months have launched campaigns in Canada, China and the USA.”
