Acceleris nets major trade body client (07/02/2013)
Agency appointed to deliver communications for National Federation of Fisherman’s Organisations
The National Federation of Fisherman’s Organisations (NFFO), the body representing fishermen’s groups, individual fishermen and producers organisations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, has appointed Acceleris as its PR and Communications advisers.
The agency will devise and deliver an integrated communications campaign to help illustrate the commitment of the organisation and its members to a sustainable, scientifically-based fisheries industry.
It will also help counter any negative and inaccurate information to ensure that the voice of the NFFO is heard in the on-going debate about the future of EU fisheries policy, its importance to the UK economy and its part in meeting the country’s food requirements.
The NFFO is the second national trade federation represented by Acceleris. The agency is also the retained PR and Communications agency for the National Federation of ALMOs whose members manage around 800,000 council houses across England.
Acceleris Director and Head of PR, Louise Vaughan said:
“The future of fisheries policy in the UK and Europe is of critical importance, both to those working within the industry and to the public at large. It is an issue that is always in the news so it is important for the NFFO, as a leading representative body, to have its voice heard in the debate to present an accurate view of an industry that has changed much over recent years. We are delighted at the appointment.”
Acceleris already works with two important maritime charities, the Royal Alfred Seafarers Society and the Shipwrecked Mariners Society.
