Acceleris, the multi-award winning, integrated communications agency, is celebrating the winning of two further GOLD awards at a prestigious industry ceremony.
The CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide awards ceremony held at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds celebrated the successes of the region’s PR industry over the last year.
The agency won Gold in the ‘Not-for-Profit’ category for its ‘Celebrations of the Sea’ project, the world’s first underwater photography exhibition, for client the Shipwrecked Mariners Society. Acceleris also received the top award for ‘Best Healthcare’ campaign for its work on the Children’s Heart Surgery Campaign, sharing the prize with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and The Public Affairs Company.
Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport commented: “The region’s PR agencies produce some excellent work so it is very rewarding to have our campaigns judged as the best in two important categories. These two campaigns were for causes that went far beyond ‘work’ and really touched the hearts of the entire team and that was reflected in the effort and commitment put into them.”
The CIPR awards recognise excellence in public relations and communications across the region, within 20 different categories.
The agency was also ranked at number 17 in PR Week’s recent Top 25 national public sector agencies for its work in the housing, health and education sectors and is a finalist in the ‘Best Large Agency’ category of the Public Sector Communications Awards to be announced in Manchester on Nov 20.
