Acceleris, the integrated communications agency, has been named among the top 20 public sector consultancies in the UK. The agency, which has a division operating for clients around the country in the social housing, health and education sectors, is the only one in Yorkshire to make the list.
Acceleris appears at number 17 in the league table published by industry magazine, PR Week, which ranks agencies from across the country based on fee income generated from work with public sector organisations.
The agency is based in Harrogate and has 15 staff. Among its public sector clients are the National Federation of ALMOs, whose 55 member organisations around England manage more than 800,000 council houses, individual social housing organisations, the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund which is fighting to retain children’s heart surgery at the Leeds General Infirmary, Tong High School in Bradford as well as work with police authorities.
As well as its public sector client base, Acceleris also operates for major clients in the private sector, including construction, media, law and automotive.

Since it was launched in December 2006,Acceleris has generated more than £6 million in revenues, is ranked within the top three of regional agencies by fee income and has secured a number of major client wins this year. The agency has won multiple awards and is a finalist for ‘Most Outstanding Consultancy of the Year in the 2012 CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Awards for Yorkshire, a title it won in 2010, as well in five other categories, including for its public sector work.
