Nigel is a chartered accountant whose career was in professional services. He was a partner with Arthur Andersen for 18 years and then with Deloitte's for 2 years, before retiring from practice in 2005. Since then he has been actively involved with the venture capital sector and made a number of investments in developing companies as a business angel.
He is a non-executive director of a number of public and private companies.

Louise has over 20 years public relations experience, both agency-side and in-house and has been Director and Head of PR at Acceleris since 2008. She has established and delivered the public relations and internal communications strategies for a wide range of public and private sector businesses and blue chip organisations including BBC Worldwide, The Royal Bank of Scotland, motors.co.uk (part of the Daily Mail Group), The Environment Agency, Theakstons, Lombard, Northcliffe Media Group and The Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. Her recent projects have included work for Bauer Media Group, John West, Kier and Trusted Dealers.
Having worked out of both London and the North, Louise has a strong media network and a track record of award winning campaigns which have delivered tangible commercial results for her clients.

NED Patrick Rose had an 18 year career with ICI from graduate trainee through to business manager, working and living in the UK, North America and Europe before joining Spencer Stuart, the world’s top executive recruitment organisation. Over the last 18 years Patrick has concentrated on helping companies with CEO succession predominantly in the broad industrial market as well as working on non-executive director assignments.
He recently retired as a global partner with Spencer Stuart, having until recently ran its major Industrial Practice.
Simon has ten year’s PR experience gained working for clients large and small in the public, third and private sectors. He is one of the original members of the Acceleris team and has played an important role in developing the agency into an award-winning consultancy.
In his time at Acceleris, Simon has delivered crisis management, media relations, social media and integrated marketing campaigns for clients such as Theakston’s, Sainsbury’s, motors.co.uk, Walker Morris and Kier.
Simon is currently head of the agency’s social housing team and has extensive knowledge and experience within the sector. He works with a number of housing organisations and suppliers. Current clients include the National Federation of ALMOs (NFA), Utilita Energy, Rixonway Kitchens, Kier Homes and RENTplus.
Notable projects have included raising the profile of council tenants to counter negative media perceptions. This project won the 2014 PRCA Dare Award for Best Public Sector Campaign.
Simon is a member of the International Building Press and holds a degree in Journalism from Cardiff University.

Charley Durham - Senior Copywriter & Editorial Project Manager
As well as being resident copywriter at Acceleris, Charley manages the agency's many editorial projects, from newsletters, magazines and annual reports to websites, social media and online news feeds. Her proudest projects include a new website launched for Severfield plc in 2014, the Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society’s annual report and the National Federation of ALMOs’ annual review.
Charley has been with Acceleris since she joined as Copywriter in 2008. Before that, she worked at DirectNews, writing copy for a wide range of company websites and also provided copywriting services as a freelancer. She holds a 2:1 Creative Writing BA (Hons) and enjoys writing fiction in her spare time.

Carys manages successful client PR and social media accounts in both private business and the public sector from raising the profile of leading used car website, Trusted Dealers to launching the Ultimate English range of confectionery. Carys also helps lead our social media training sessions.
Carys studied PR at Leeds Metropolitan University, completing a number of short-term placements throughout the four years. She also completed a placement year as part of the in-house PR team at the Central Office of Information (COI) in London and six weeks at 10 Downing Street.

Mike assists on a number of client accounts including the Shipwrecked Mariners' Society, Liaison, Kier, NHS Leadership Academy, Prince’s Trust, Northern Housing Consortium and Severfield. His day-to-day duties range from copywriting and research, to daily media relations and client pitch support.
Mike studied Film and Television Production at university and is a qualified journalist. Mike worked as a reporter for the York Press, a Press and Media Secretary for UK Parliament and a Campaign Manager for one of the main political parties before joining the team at Acceleris.

Before joining Acceleris in mid 2013, Georgia worked within the restaurant and wine industry as a marketing co-ordinator. She brings with her a range of experience from PR and agency placements alongside a background in advertising. Georgia currently works on a range of client accounts including Ultimate English and Severfield.
Georgia is passionate about bringing original creative ideas to the accounts she is involved with. Georgia holds a BA(Hons) degree in Creative Advertising from the Leeds College of Art.

Sophie is supporting Acceleris’ drive for growth and will be setting up the London office in her role as Business Development Executive.
Through her involvement in a number of companies focused on the luxury sector, Sophie has built and maintained excellent relationships with a wide range of high value brands. Sophie has been involved in building a global events business in the role of operations director. This role involved everything from generating sponsorship from some of the world leading brands to hosting international royalty at the events. Sophie has subsequently set up her own events and marketing business, as well as a luxury wine experience business.

Peter Davenport is one of the most experienced media and public relations (PR) specialists in the country.
For 25 years he was a senior national journalist, first on the Daily Mail and then on The Times, including a period as its defence correspondent. Peter travelled with Pope John Paul on his historic pilgrimage to Ireland and worked extensively on overseas assignments in the USA, India, the Middle East, the Falklands and most major European countries.
Since moving into PR, Peter has built and sold several agencies. He has devised and delivered campaigns for major clients in the public and private sectors, as well as advising on crisis management issues surrounding some sensitive and high profile cases.
NED Sean Lippell has more than 35 years' experience as a corporate lawyer and recently retired as a partner from Addleshaw Goddard, a post which he held for 13 years, five of which were as corporate division managing partner.
Sean’s reputation is well known and his high standing in the local and corporate marketplace was evidenced most recently with his Lifetime Achievement accolade in the Yorkshire Dealmaker awards. Sean has led and advised on a number of high profile multi million pound transactions in recent years for Addleshaw Goddard.

Sandra has extensive consumer, corporate and B2B PR and communications experience gained both agency side and in-house. Sandra’s experience spans multiple sectors including food & drink, healthcare, public sector and automotive and she brings with her excellent client relationship management skills and significant crisis, issues and reputation management experience.
In her most recent role at Haygarth, Sandra led on two flagship integrated campaigns with full responsibility for strategy & creative development, digital and social media activity as well as consumer and trade PR. Her day to day activity includes managing busy press office functions, overseeing media campaigns and blogger outreach programmes.

Ellie manages accounts for clients including the National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations (NFFO), Kier Services, the Northern Housing Consortium and the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society as well as a number of other third sector organisations. Having joined the agency in 2010, Ellie has delivered award winning campaigns across a range of disciplines including media relations, crisis communications, events and social media. She was also crowned 'Outstanding Young Communicator' at the prestigious CIPR PRide Awards 2014 for Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.
Before joining the agency, Ellie worked at the Environment Agency specialising in PR and community relations for flood and coastal risk management schemes across Yorkshire and the North East. Ellie holds a BA (Hons) degree in German from the University of Leeds and completed a CIPR Advanced Certificate in Public Relations in 2010.

Lisa has over ten years’ PR and communications experience, working on accounts in just about every industry sector possible, including construction, healthcare, food and drink, automotive, technology, telecoms and utilities.
Prior to joining Acceleris, and after several years’ working in some of Yorkshire’s leading agencies, Lisa went to work in-house as PR manager for a leading business telecoms provider. Having worked in-house as well as agency-side, Lisa has seen the industry from both sides of the spectrum and built up an impressive portfolio of consumer and B2B experience along the way.
At Acceleris, she manages client accounts including Severfield plc, Vantage Motor Group and Nexus Rental, and is also actively involved in new business development. Lisa has a proven track-record of delivering outstanding results for her clients, whatever their sector or business objectives. She holds a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Jack works out of Acceleris’ London office, supporting its PR offering and new business drive in the capital. He is also part of the maritime team at Acceleris, working for clients such as the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations and Seafarers UK. He was a member of the team that delivered crisis communications support to the NFFO, which has since won four highly-respected industry awards, including the European Excellence Award.
Coming from a background in creative writing, Jack brings copywriting support and script writing skills to the Acceleris team and has been the creative force behind several videos for clients and the agency itself.

Rebecca assists on a number of client accounts including Kier Maintenance, Rixonway Kitchens and the National Federation of ALMOs. Her day-to-day duties range from research, media monitoring and saving coverage, to writing press releases and daily media relations.
Rebecca joins Acceleris from the Daily Telegraph where she worked within the digital content team covering such events as London 2012, American elections and the birth of the Royal baby. She studied English Literature at the University of Liverpool before going on to gain a Masters in Journalism at the University of Sheffield.
Brought in whenever we need an extra hand, David is a ‘friend of the family’ who flits between roles. From Account Executive to Account Director, he gives us whatever support we need with particular emphasis on copywriting, web work and media liaison.
Since being appointed assistant press officer at the Yorkshire Regional Health Authority in 1985, David’s exciting career has seen him as both journalist and broadcaster, progressing via the Ministry of Defence and in-house roles in New Zealand and Dubai, to some of the UK’s largest regional and national communications/PR agencies and has since run his own companies.

Gabriella is passionate about bringing her writing and journalistic skills to the agency, coming from a background in writing and broadcast. Gabriella holds a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Journalism from the University of Salford and has undergone placements at a number of media organisations including the Daily Telegraph and Key103 radio in Manchester.
