Nigel is a chartered accountant whose career was in professional services. He was a partner with Arthur Andersen for 18 years and then with Deloitte's for two years, before retiring from practice in 2005. Since then he has been actively involved with the venture capital sector and made a number of investments in developing companies as a business angel.
He is a non-executive director of a number of public and private companies.
NED Sean Lippell has more than 35 years' experience as a corporate lawyer and recently retired as a partner from Addleshaw Goddard, a post which he held for 13 years, five of which were as corporate division managing partner.
Sean’s reputation is well known and his high standing in the local and corporate marketplace was evidenced most recently with his Lifetime Achievement accolade in the Yorkshire Dealmaker awards. Sean has led and advised on a number of high profile multi million pound transactions in recent years for Addleshaw Goddard.
Alison is Company Secretary at Acceleris, taking responsibility for the company accounts and financial management. She also covers HR, legal, office management and the administration of our job management and costing system, Synergist.
Alison has worked for Acceleris since its beginnings in 2006 and was a central figure in its inception, as well as being vital to the success the business has so far achieved.
Peter Davenport is one of the most experienced media and public relations (PR) specialists in the country.
For 25 years he was a senior national journalist, first on the Daily Mail and then on The Times, including a period as its defence correspondent. Peter travelled with Pope John Paul on his historic pilgrimage to Ireland, met and interviewed a diverse range of characters from Fred Astaire and John Wayne to the Rolling Stones and worked extensively on overseas assignments in the USA, India, the Middle East, the Falklands and most major European countries.
Since moving into PR, Peter has devised and delivered campaigns for major clients in the public and private sectors, as well as advising on crisis management issues surrounding sensitive and high profile cases. He has created and managed campaigns for sponsors of major sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games and the inaugural Round the World Yacht Race.
Peter regards his primary role as 'creating a stimulating agency culture where clever, creative and talented people can flourish to the benefit of our clients.'
Louise has over twenty years experience setting up, establishing and growing successful corporate communications functions for a wide range of public and private sector organisations including major high street banks, national law firms, retailers, national trade bodies, charities, media groups and Government quangos.
She has delivered UK and pan-European media relations, corporate communications, social media and employee engagement campaigns for a wide range of organisations including The Environment Agency, The National Federation of ALMOs, The Royal Bank of Scotland, The Princes Trust, BBC Worldwide, Sainsbury’s, John West, Daily Mail and General Trust, Direct Line, Bauer Media, The National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations, Europêche, motors.co.uk and Addleshaw Booth & Co (now Addleshaw Goddard).
Over the last three years alone Louise has seen ten of the campaigns she has led for Acceleris honoured in both national and international PR and communications awards, with most notably her work for the UK Fishing Industry receiving a Best Issues and Reputation Management Award at the European Excellence Awards in Munich.

Simon has ten years' PR experience gained working for clients large and small in the public, third and private sectors. He is one of the original members of the Acceleris team and has played an important role in developing the agency into an award-winning consultancy.
In his time at Acceleris, Simon has delivered crisis management, media relations, social media and integrated marketing campaigns for clients such as Theakston’s, Sainsbury’s, motors.co.uk, Walker Morris and Kier.
Simon is currently head of the agency’s social housing team and has extensive knowledge and experience within the sector. He works with a number of housing organisations and suppliers. Current clients include the National Federation of ALMOs (NFA), Utilita Energy, Rixonway Kitchens, Kier Homes and RENTplus.
Notable projects have included raising the profile of council tenants to counter negative media perceptions. This project won the 2014 PRCA Dare Award for Best Public Sector Campaign.
Simon is a member of the International Building Press and holds a degree in Journalism from Cardiff University.

Ellie St George-Yorke
Ellie oversees accounts for clients including the National Federation of Fishermen's Organisations (NFFO), European trade body Europêche, UK Fuels, and the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society as well as a number of other third sector organisations. Having joined the agency in 2010, Ellie has delivered award winning campaigns across a range of disciplines including media relations, crisis communications, events and social media. In November 2014, she was crowned 'Outstanding Young Communicator' at the prestigious CIPR PRide Awards for Yorkshire & Lincolnshire.
Before joining the agency, Ellie worked at the Environment Agency specialising in PR and community relations for flood and coastal risk management schemes across Yorkshire and the North East. Ellie holds a BA (Hons) degree in German from the University of Leeds and completed a CIPR Advanced Certificate in Public Relations in 2010.
Charley Oakes - Senior Copywriter & Editorial Project Manager
Charley leads the agency’s dedicated copywriting and editorial projects division, Writers Inc., where she writes for and manages a wide variety of web and print projects, including websites, annual reports, brochures and even books. She also manages brand development projects and provides creative and editorial support to the PR team.
Charley has been with Acceleris since she joined as Copywriter in 2008 from a background in SEO copywriting. She graduated from Leeds University in 2006 with a 2:1 in Creative Writing (BA) Hons and has also worked as a freelance copywriter.

Jack works out of Acceleris’ London office, supporting its PR offering and new business drive in the capital. He is also part of the maritime team at Acceleris and was a member of the team that delivered crisis communications support to the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations. This campaign went on to win four highly-respected industry awards, including the European Excellence Award.
Coming from a background in creative writing, Jack brings copywriting support and script writing skills to the Acceleris team and has been the creative force behind several videos for clients and the agency itself. He has also led on other types of projects including website builds and brochure designs.
Alex holds a BA (Hons) degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield and currently works on a number of clients including the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations, Utilita Energy, Remade in Britain and Rent Plus.
Coming from a strong research and writing background, Alex brings an eye for detail and accuracy to the accounts he works with.
