Award win for Acceleris' maritime division

Acceleris' maritime division has taken gold at the ‘PR Moment Awards 2015’, held in association with the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) recognising its ‘outstanding campaigns and exceptional talent.’

Acceleris took the top spot in the ‘Media Relations Campaign of the Year’ for its campaign to champion sustainable fishing on behalf of the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO), the trade body representing the interests of the UK fishing industry. Appointed by the federation in February 2013, the agency has delivered an intensive media campaign aimed at challenging misconceptions about this often misunderstood industry. The campaign saw the fishing industry catapulted into the mainstream news agenda with positive coverage ranging from Newsnight and the Today Programme to Simon Mayo Drivetime on BBC Radio 2.

Of the campaign, PR Moment judges commented: “This was a really strong category, Acceleris edged it with a fantastic and worthy campaign, which had incredibly strong results and output delivered on a small budget. The campaign delivered a genuine behavioural shift.”
