Acceleris Strikes Gold in Yorkshire Awards
Agency adds two golds and a silver to its collection with latest industry award wins
Acceleris is celebrating after beating strong competition to win two golds and one silver award at the PRide Awards for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Harrogate and London-based Acceleris won the gold award in the Integrated Campaign and Best Publication categories and took silver for Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy.
The awards run by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the professional body for public relations practitioners in the UK, recognise outstanding work delivered for clients and employers and winners are selected through a rigorous judging process by industry experts.
The gold standard was awarded to Acceleris for a national integrated campaign, working with the NHS to raise awareness of the lack of suitable wheelchairs and the delays in getting chairs to users, fronted by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. The judges commended Acceleris for its use of innovative tactics to showcase creative ideas in a cost effective manner.
Its second Gold, in the Best Publication category, was for the commemorative book Home From Sea, produced for The Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society to mark the charity’s 150th anniversary. Judges said Acceleris created both a visually appealing and engaging book that will be used as a research tool within the maritime sector for future generations.

Acceleris’ success in the PRide Awards this year follows news that it is shortlisted for a European PR Excellence Award for the fourth time in as many years. It comes alongside its triumph at the Public Sector Communications Awards in July where it was crowned Agency of the Year for the second consecutive year.
