Acceleris Adds New Digital Dimension to Services

Acceleris, the multi-award winning integrated communications agency, has launched its first virtual reality (VR) campaign on behalf of client and leading corporate vehicle rental provider, Nexus Vehicle Rental.
The agency is working with Nexus to harness innovative VR technology which will be used within a bespoke mobile app as part of its ongoing marketing drive.
A number of Nexus’ target customers will receive branded VR goggles and will be guided through a unique set of 360° environments showcasing Nexus’ revolutionary rental booking technology, set against the backdrop of a moving motorway. The app is available for anyone to download for free by visiting www.nexusrental.co.uk/VR.
Acceleris was involved in creating the design for the goggles, copywriting and storyboarding for the app, and media relations around the launch to secure coverage in key trade and regional media.
Louise Vaughan, Managing Director at Acceleris said: “We’re expanding our offering to incorporate a range of digital strategies and tactics to complement our existing award-winning PR services. To date we’ve been involved with video and animation creation, virtual reality as well as numerous social media campaigns.
“Next year we’ll be pushing promotion of our digital services and hope to reach new audiences and markets while helping existing clients take advantage of emerging tech, such as VR, where it can add value to their campaigns and commercial objectives.”
A recent report from IDC claims that the combined revenue for both the AR and VR markets will hit $162 billion by the year 2020. The revenue for the markets in 2016 is around $5.2 billion.
The campaign is part of the latest in a series of digitally-driven initiatives by Acceleris. Last month it worked with client Nautilus International to create a video animation demonstrating how half the world would freeze due to a lack of fuel and supermarket shelves would stand near empty if we were to lose our Merchant Navy.
