Unveiling the UK’s most congested roads secures major coverage for motoring client

The client

RAM Tracking is a leading UK GPS vehicle tracking provider.

The objective

We were asked to devise a proactive communications strategy to raise awareness of both the business and its RAM Evolution product, while increasing traffic to the RAM Tracking website.

What we did

An attention-grabbing press story was created using RAM’s own data analysis on the UK’s top 40 most congested roads, with London, Birmingham and Oxford topping the list. This was then sold in to the national and regional media and a proactive media relations programme got underway to widen exposure across key fleet, vertical sector and business trade titles.

Results

  • A significant increase in website traffic in the first week (89% of this from new visitors)
  • The increase continued over the month of activity, with more than 30% of visits from MailOnline and ITV.com
  • 145+ pieces of varied, quality coverage over the ten month period, with more than 140 million opportunities to see
A 913% increase in media coverage overall, compared to before Acceleris started work
