Severfield plc

Shaping the brand that shapes skylines

The client

Severfield is the UK’s leading fabricated steelwork company, responsible for such iconic structures as The Shard, the 2012 Olympic stadium, and Heathrow T5, among many other landmark buildings.

The objective

When Acceleris was approached in 2014, Severfield plc was still known as Severfield-Rowen plc. We were asked to rebrand the entire operation and launch a major communications campaign in just four months.

What we did

The project, where we appointed and led a team including Thompson Brand Partners and web development agency Kariba, involved in-depth consultation with key stakeholders, brand development, website development, media relations, video production, social media and employee engagement.

Staff and customers were consulted as part of the exercise to develop the new name, look and direction, which were all designed to support the future growth and development of the business.

The company is now called Severfield plc and has a new brand identity and responsive website. The first phase of the rebrand was completed ahead of the company’s annual results announcement to the market. Post-launch activities were arranged to help boost Severfield’s wider public and business profile.

“The rebranding exercise was an important part of setting a new direction for the business and we are delighted with the results.” Ian Lawson, Chief Executive
