Reinvigorating the image of a small charity with big potential


At a time of increasing demand and decreased funding, small charities have to work even harder to survive and make their voice heard.

The Zambia Society Trust has been funding projects in Zambia for more than 50 years, with a particular focus on helping children and young people. An independent charity run entirely by volunteers, it has helped many thousands of orphans and other vulnerable children living below the poverty line to experience a better quality of life and improve their prospects.

What we did

The Trust approached Acceleris in late 2014 following a word-of-mouth recommendation. At that time, its brand and website were out-of-date, old-fashioned and lacking impact. The charity had also seen external support in terms of donations and new members signing up reach a plateau that could not be improved without action.

Working with the branding and web experts at Design by GOBO, we developed a fresh new visual identity and website for the charity, to help them appeal to more potential supporters and beneficiaries and stand out from the crowd.

Within the first two months of going live, there was a 90% increase in visits and unique visitors, with a 54% increase in page views. There has also been an increase in enquiries and interest from potential beneficiaries and supporters alike.

We have renewed our potential to engage with even more supporters – it is only with their help that we can continue the vital work we do in Zambia.”
