A sustained PR communications campaign to drive brand growth

The client

Vantage Motor Group runs 25 dealerships across Northern England and the West Midlands, reports an annual turnover of £174 million per year and is one of Yorkshire’s fastest growing companies*.

The objective

We were asked to deliver an integrated programme of consumer and corporate growth PR activity to support an ambitious and rapidly expanding dealer network, the Group’s take-up of new marques and the growth of its brand across different regional territories.

What we did

As well as regular PR and corporate media relations activity, Acceleris drafted successful award entries and devised consumer-led campaigns including putting forward creative ideas for new dealership and brand launches. A key part of our work was providing corporate communications to support the acquisition of rival dealership sites.


Acceleris successfully publicised Vantage’s remarkable expansion from two to 25 dealerships and one to eight brands (Toyota, Kia, Citroen, Honda, Hyundai, ŠKODA, Mazda and Lexus) in just five years. Highlights included:

  • Almost 200 pieces of coverage in 2015 alone
  • Reaching an audience of over 500,000 through 37 pieces of coverage on Vantage’s acquisition of three Yorkshire dealerships
  • Boosting Vantage’s community presence through a number of CSR initiatives including a Hyundai Stockport sign language class, a school car design project and numerous sponsorship campaigns of local sports clubs
